Hello lovelies! I'm a crafter-maker who loves learning new skills and cramming a lot of stuff into one day.

I fell off the blog world in 2010 shortly after I moved to a new town, got a new job, bought a house, adopted a new dog, acquired several new hobbies, started teaching piano again, got engaged, then planned a beautiful wedding (in 3 months!), got married to my best friend, taught crafty workshops ... as it turns out, I sort of ran out of time to document it all.  Which is really too bad because it's been a wonderful couple of years!

I'm 35 and get highly amused when people sometimes ask if my parents are home if I answer the door. I live with my amazing husband, Risto, who just finished his second undergraduate degree. Nobody can believe that four years has gone by since he started this second degree. (The whole reason we moved to London in the first place!)

We have two gorgeous hairy beasts. Nori is a Norwegian Elkhound. We purchased her from a breeder almost seven years ago when we lived in Toronto. House-breaking a puppy when you live on the 9th floor of a condo still gives me nightmares. I think I spent that first year in a sleep-deprived coma. Dayna is a black & tan mixed-dog we rescued from A.R.F Ontario. They are both absolutely amazing and we consider ourselves incredibly lucky to have them in our lives.

We've made London, Ontario our home. I LOVE our house. It's old and on the chilly side. The floors could use a good mopping, but it's really cozy and we're always so happy to return home. A lot of it has to do with the fact that we have a lot of stuff and a lot of stuff to do. We've managed to create the perfect nest of our vices - books and craft supplies. Minimalists, we are not - and one could go as far as to accuse me of hoarding. But it's all so pretty!

The city has provided me with new friends and many opportunities to learn and teach. Since moving here, I've picked up weaving, spinning and crocheting. I've been teaching workshops on weaving and felt making. I plan on teaching more workshops. I have a number of piano students that I see weekly and would love to teach more kids how to sew and make handmade gifts.

I'm hoping to dive back into cataloging the simple things that inspire and sharing them with you.

Lastly, I'm so excited to finally launch an Etsy shop.  It's been a long time coming.

Thank you for stopping by and joining me on this journey.
