FO:: baby hat

This is a really old project that I finished as a baby shower gift for my sister's girlfriend. The parents are a super-sweet couple who got pregnant through IVF after a year of trying. They have a beautiful baby girl who is the most relaxed baby you've ever met.

Pattern: Last Minute Knitted Gifts - Children's Cotton Hat
Yarn: Mission Falls 1824 cotton
Needles: US #7 dpn
Colour: olive

Modifications: none! Although, I may or may not have made a mistake in the yarn overs which created the holes for the i-cord. But it worked out.

Comments: Loved making the i-cord. It was such a cute touch. I whipped up the hat in an afternoon while watching Memoirs of a Geisha. I also really enjoyed the nubbly texture of the yarn. Nubbly. (heh, that word makes me laugh). I recommend this pattern for a quick baby shower gift. The cuteness of it will slay you.
