FO :: Baby Bolero

My first sweater! Kinda. If you can call a bolero, a sweater.

Think the colour white is okay for a newborn baby boy?

Pattern: Baby Bolero from the book 'One Skein' by Leigh Radford
Yarn:: Mission Falls Cotton - had a skein and a half in my stash leftover from a swap. There's still plenty left.
Colour: White
Needles: US #7

Comments: I did the modifications that a lot of people mentioned on Ravelry. I learned how to do a three-needle bind off for the shoulders so I wouldn't have to sew any seams and I picked up the stitches around the armholes for the sleeves. Easy Peasy. If anybody wants the mods I did, let me know and I can email it to you. Since it's for a boy, I didn't do the little motif on the back that the pattern calls for.

Which boy??

Why... little Joaquin was born 18 March 2009 at 6:48am. R's sister is happy and healthy and the new papa is euphoric, I'd say. As Tan pointed out, he's my nephew-in-common-law. They call me Natalie-tati in Finnish.

And I just have to share this picture with you. Look who takes after his Aunt Jane.
